To upload users that have been downloaded for use with Viewpoint Offline you need to be connected to the Internet and logged in to Viewpoint Online as a manager.

 

 

1. Open the “Upload Questionnaire Response” Screen

 

Click on the “Upload Users” option in the “Offline” section of the menu at the left hand side of the screen (circled in red on Fig 1). The “Upload User Questionnaire Responses” screen will be displayed (see Fig 2).

 

Note: If you cannot see the “Upload Users” option then you do not have the correct permissions to upload users.

2. Select a Responses File

 

To upload a responses file (“responses.off”, the file that contains the users and questionnaires that have been answered), you can either:

 

Type in the location of the “responses.off” file in the box next to the “Browse” button.

 

Or

 

Click on the “Browse” button and the “Choose File” window will appear. You will need to navigate to the C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Offline” folder, click on the “response.off” file and click on the “Open” button. The “responses.off” file will be listed in the box next to the “Browse” button.

Once you have selected the “responses.off” file click on the “Upload” button to start the upload process. Once the users have been uploaded you will see an “Upload Summary” screen.

 

 

 

 

3. The “Upload Summary” Screen

 

Upload Summary – If the users have been successfully uploaded you will see a summary of the upload along with instructions on how to login into Viewpoint Offline as a manager and delete the “data.off” file and responses.off” file that were used by the users that have been uploaded.

 

If there was a problem uploading you will be informed on this screen.

4. Deleting the Data and Responses Files

 

Before you can download more users for use with Viewpoint Offline you must first delete the “data.off” and “responses.off” files. To do this login to Viewpoint Offline as a Manager by entering the “Manager Login Id” that was displayed on the “Upload Summary” screen (see Fig 4) in the Login Id box on the Viewpoint Offline login screen (see Fig 5) and click on the “Login” button.

The Manager Features screen will be displayed (see Fig 6).

 

Click on the “Delete the Data file and Responses file” option.

A message saying “The Data file has been deleted.” and “The Responses file has been deleted.” will be displayed (see Fig 7).

 

Click on “Logout” to exit Viewpoint Offline.
