When I run Viewpoint Offline I get the error message: “Error! Speech is not Installed.” 4. When I run Viewpoint Offline my Anti Virus Software gives me a “Malicious Script Warning” message. 5. Please upload and/or delete the responses file and try again.” 9. Windows XP Service Pack 2 Security Features 1. Where do I get a Serial Number from to install Viewpoint Offline? If when installing Viewpoint Offline you are asked for a Serial Number you are trying to install an old version of Viewpoint Offline (Version1.0 or Version 1.0a). Download the latest Viewpoint Offline install from the Download page or contact Viewpoint for further assistance. 2. How can I find out what version of Viewpoint Offline I have got Installed? If you are using Viewpoint Offline 2.0 or greater, the Version Number is on the Login Screen at the bottom right. If there is no Version Number on the Login Screen then you will have version 1.0 or Version 1.0a installed (if this is the case you need to upgrade to Version 2.1). 3. When I run Viewpoint Offline I get the error message: “Error! Speech is not Installed.” For Viewpoint Offline to work, the Microsoft SAPI 5 speech engine needs to be installed. Upload any offline users and uninstall Viewpoint Offline. Download and install the “Viewpoint Offline Setup with Viewpoint Online Plugins”. 4. When I run Viewpoint Offline my Anti Virus Software gives me a “Malicious Script Warning” message. This is because Viewpoint Offline reads and writes data to the 'C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Offline' folder. In order to run Viewpoint Offline, you need to choose the “Allow this script to run” option. 5. When I try and login to Viewpoint Offline I get the error message: “Error! The Folder. 'C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Offline' is Read Only. Viewpoint Offline requires Read and Write permissions to this Folder.” For Viewpoint Offline to work, The “C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Offline” folder requires read and write permissions. Please ask your system administrator to allow this. 6. When I try and login to Viewpoint Offline I get the error message: “Error! The file 'C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Offline\data.off' does not exist.” You are getting this error message because you have either not downloaded any offline users (data.off file) or you have downloaded them to the wrong folder. 7. When I try and login to Viewpoint Offline I get the error message: “Error! The Data file and Responses file do not match. Please upload and/or delete the Responses file.” You are getting this error message because you have not uploaded a responses file from a previous set of offline users. Upload and or delete the responses file and try again. 8. When I try and login to Viewpoint Offline I get the error message: “Error! A responses.off file exists for another data.off File. Please upload and/or delete the responses file and try again.” You are getting this error message because you have not uploaded a responses file from a previous set of offline users. Upload and or delete the responses file and try again. 9. Windows XP Service Pack 2 Security Features If you are using Windows XP and have installed Service Pack 2, you will notice new security features. When you run Viewpoint Offline you will get a blank screen with a yellow exclamation mark symbol in the bottom left corner (see image below).
If you click on this symbol a message bar will appear at the top of the screen (see image below).
If you click on this message bar a “Security Warning” message will pop up (see image below).
To run Viewpoint Offline you must click
