Although professionals demand to be consulted and have
views that are readily presented, young people must be
encouraged to participate.
Their views are sometimes less easily understood and
therefore must to some extent be discovered. We think
that service providers believe that it is important to
understand the views of young people, but are concerned
that it is not always easy to obtain them.
We provide Service Managers with an easy and accessible link
to the information that they need to make decisions and
take action.
Service Managers know that tokenistic, small scale
participation is usually misleading, but do not always have
access to methods that ensure that the views they collect
are properly representative.
We developed Viewpoint to meet these needs, and we
continue to work for improvement. |
